Still waiting for books I requested well over four weeks ago.

Last Thursday I requested Snowman.

Doesn't sound very good service Tess, is this because they are all out? Do you have charity shops near you? I found the Snowman in one for 95p :-)

'The Snowman' by Jo Nesbo.....got to be fave this year

Hmm, not my favourite Winifred but then not the usual type of book I read, but it was very good.

Had already read The Snowman have a feeling that I got it from a Charity shop and then returned it.

When I requested three books over four weeks ago was told one was not available, I was second on waiting list for one of the others and there was no waiting list for the third.

As Birmingham libraries had more than one copy of the second book, I didn't think that I would have to wait log. Third book should have been ready for collection within a few days. (Well that is how it used to be.)

Not sure what has been happening, things seem to have got a lot worse since the new library opened.

Have now (last Thursday) requested that all books requested are sent to a more local library.

Haven't managed to get to the charity shop since my fall on the way to one a few weeks ago.

All being well I might be able to go on Friday. Have already got quite a few books to take back.

I am sorry I didn't know about your fall, I hope that you are ok now.

That is a long time to wait for books, have you enquired as to why you have had to wait so long?

I'm fine after my fall Ann, I was just a bit shaken up and my knees were grazed and bruised. Will now be getting a stick.

I checked about the first two books after I had been waiting about ten days. All in order, I AM on the waiting list.

This morning I got notification about The Snowman, which I requested last Thursday from my "local" library. It is now available for collection. Hope to get it tomorrow, and will check about the other two then. They were requested five weeks ago. :-(

Have now got The Snowman and Triptych. Have just started reading Triptych.

Will review it when finished.
