Hi Does anyone out there have a family member or members with little fingers that go crooked when they are in the late 50's or 60's. Its is a Gene related thing that is passed on the female side, and can now be put right with a minor operation. From what I 've read there are people all over the world with this. I have it, my mother had it (she's had the operation) but it might be interesting to find out the source of the Gene coming to England (my mother family is from the North of England). It seem to be well documented in America, Germany and even India. Anyone got any info on this please contact me. Audrey.

I have crooked little fingers, same as my dad and my daughter but all been like that from birth. x

Not only female side my husbands little fingers are very bent and so are my sons..

I though I was the only strange one with that.... mine have been like it since birth - same as granddad, dad and daughter..... Its because the knuckle is deformed... Lyndax

Is this the same thing as Dupuytrens (sp?) Contracture? This comes on later in life usually - Margaret Thatcher had an operation for this, I remember. Olde Crone

hubby has this, his little finger is like it, thought he was just a bit odd but now realise how common he is

My little fingers on both hands curve inwards at the top, as if I have been wearing gloves that are too tight!!! They have always been like that I think, I noticed many years ago and read somewhere it is a sign that you are not as honest as you should be. Oh well, I'll just blame it on the tight gloves!!

Karen a bend that comes through no accident.....it said on title in later life, but me and most of the others seem to have been born with it. Me my Mum and sis....all bend from the last joint on same little finger XX
