First let me give you some history

8 years ago dad went into hospital for a Heart Bypass, he contracted MRSA. Went down to threatre 4 times to have wound cleaned, had his STERNUM and 3/4 of the front of his RIBCAGE removed. Instead of being 5 days post op, he was there nearly 6 months.
As you can imagine it has left him quite disabled, unable to do a lot for himself.

It has been hard for him and us to adjust to him being this way.

Now the present

As you are aware Dad was taken in HDU on Thursday night, has an infection in his right leg. On friday he appeared to be a lot better, but unfortunaltey the anti-biotics have now stopped working and they are are treating him for MRSA as a precaution. He is now on a Morphine based pain killer as he is in so much pain.
They have him on 3 differant Anti biotics in the hope they can find one that will work.
Bless him when I saw him tonight he wasn't quite on this planet at times.

I went through a similar experience with my Dad last year. Those antibiotics and painillers put them on another planet. It is heartbreaking to see.

I sincerely hope he gets better and i will be thinking of him.

I hope they find the right antibiotics for him soon. Poor man he has been through a lot.
