Julie,
it didn't bother her until a few people made comments.....funnily enough though its adults that have made the comments.

we've told her she looks great....slim but not too slim and more importantly healthy.

I will tell her the boobs in knickers thing though...she'll like that

I refused to see a certain doctor after the first time I saw him!!
I have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and he was the only doctor free at the time. I also wanted to discuss my knee that had been swelling up and going down for 3 months, since slipping on some very slippery flagstones, and occasionally 'popped' and made horrible grinding noises (since been diagnosed as torn cartilidge (sp))
It was a cold day, so I was wearing a thick jumper and my 'blanket' coat - big and cosy!
He didn't even look at me, nor ask my weight or whether or not I exercised, just said 'You will have to start exercising and lose a lot of weight'!!
Like that is the only cause of high BP - not!!
I pointed out that I usually walk over 2 miles every morning to work - but it was becoming a bit painful with my knee, and just how much weight did he expect me to lose - as I'm not 'officially' overweight!!

Blooming cheek!
I wonder what his attitude is to someone with a real weight problem. I hardly think he would inspire anyone to lose weight.

That's why I've avoided him since!

When I was thin, I had an uncle who would tell me everytime that I saw him that I needed to put on some weight. When I eventually did put on over a stone in weight he told me I was getting a bit chubby. Can't win with some people. It became a bit of a joke.

My neice got really chubby, the next thing we know she's grown like 4 inches in a month lol. I swear she's taller everytime I see her. She's 12.

My daughter is also a very healthy but slim size 6 but has quite large boobs for someone as skinny as her.. I tell people who make it their business to ask about her weight that when her boobs start to dissapear that is when I will start to worry, she has even been asked if she has had a boob job because "she shouldn't have that size bust being so slim"!!
Bl**dy cheek of people....It really annoys me.

As an Olive Oyl at school, and been called Skinny Lizzie often, one doctor told my mother I wasn't thin, just wiry!! Apparently that was ok!
I was never more than 8 stones at 5' 6" tall, until after I had my son and even then was only 8 and a half stones a few weeks after his birth, and by then I was 35. I have turned into my Mum now, being apple shaped and weighing nearly 14 st, which I know is too heavy, but your girl has no need to worry, and I am sure it is a bit of the green eyed monster with some of the people making comments. So long as she eats healthily and well, she is probably a lot healthier than some of her so called friends.
