Did you know Travleodge are doing rooms for £9 per room per night?

Just looked up the holiday lettings - nice places but unfortunately the website / availability is not up to date. One i just looked at was last updated August 07 - so beware :-)

Sorry only just seem Shelli's message

Yes you can use Tesco vouchers with Haven. You need the vouchers in front of you when you book as you need to give them the Ref numbers, when you have made your booking you will be given your booking ref, you need to put this on the vouchers and send them to Hemel Hempstead, they must be received with in 3 DAYS.

When you make the booking you will need to pay a deposit by card to secure the booking.

Should you need to cancel you will get points put back onto your tesco card to the value of the vouchers,(you must take out the cancellation plan for this). The amount you get back depends on how soon the holiday is before you cancel.

Hope this makes sense

Our biggest problem is deciding where we want to go lol. Although I would love to go to Cornwall it's an 10 hour drive, would need lots of stops and not sure either my dad or I could survive it.

I want to visit my friend in Stevenage but last time the 6 hour drive nearly floored me and I'm doing worse now with my FM. Maybe I'll book a night in a travelodge half way.

Cheapest time to go on hols seems to be beginning of June but discovered last year that things are only just opening.

Have you tried "googling" your choice of destination and then looking for privately offered self catering accn? Trouble is that one place for 8 of you is going to be expensive because there aren't a lot of places take such a large number of people plus of course you are in the top end of the "High" season. You might be better looking for 2 chalets/vans or similar

Thanks I've looked at welcome cottages but there were lots of bunks involved in the one available. OAP's were not too keen - good for a laugh :-)

I have used tesco vouchers before - very easy esp now they all have codes so can order online.

Julie cat - up to about £900.

We have been with welcome cottages before and they are very good. They cover most areas, and have places of varying sizes.

Thanks for your replies.

Jax you could try www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk

I have spoken to the others going & we might still go to the Isle of Wight.
After messing round with the ferry prices & managed to get a 1/3 off (£50 - well £100 as its for 2 cars!) by going at different time & if I can get it with Tesco vouchers even better :-)

Ive been looking at caravan parks in Dorset so we can have a little holiday while down for a family wedding.

We dont care if there is not much on the site as we will only be sleeping there as we have other places we wish to visit.

The Agents we use for our place has holiday homes in the UK as well as France, you might find something that will suit.

Penny, tell me what you want from the holiday, ie. do you want a site with pools, kids clubs, babysitting etc or would you be happy with a cottage in a village with a nice beach nearby and places of interest to drive to etc etc

Hi Shelli

Thats another reason why I don't want a caravan - bedrooms are small enough but to have 4 peoples luggage in one room & only 1 shower room - they are just too small.

If it was just the 4 of us going I wouldn't mind.
