SS, yes that is what I will be sorting out this year at my own house, but as a hoarder, ocd, I have to clear all my stuff first so they can go in and do the assessment. There is heating there but it never worked properly thanks to a plumber who wasn't as good as he was supposed to be. I tried taking him to court but two weeks before the open and shut case, he wangled legal aid so mine was stopped and everything ground to a halt. He died later at a relatively young age, 60's. What goes around comes around! He ruined my life by messing up the installation, long story.
Some benefits to being a pensioner tho with the grants available. lol

Liz, can you not get a warm front grant to get the boiler replaced and radiators fitted? I dunno what benefits you're on (if any) but it might be worth enquiring about with the FM.

LOL was lovely here today.

Blue skies very little rain just light showers.

Shame the last 2/3 days had torential rain and some towns are now feeling the brunt of that as river levels are still rising and some flooding is occuring!

love Theresa

Teresa, it's ok. I knew to what you were referring, and I was pmsl

I keep telling Hayley the only reason I don't have a very wrinkly face is cos the weight of everything else pulls the skin on my face fairly taut lol

We have had the coldest evenings of the year over the last few nights, down to 1.8 degrees about 50 miles from here, virtually unheard of!.
About 3 years ago they actually had snow in the mountains, the village elders had never seen it before, but had heard of it!

Teresa, pmsl that's a great term for it, not!! Don't want it on display at all really but can't get rid of it!

Tina, I sympathise every time I see you mention the work going on in your house. At least one day you will have heating, he will never put it in here.

I have to get my boiler replaced and heating sorted in my own house and move back ready for next winter, that said, if prices go up more, being a pensioner I won't be able to afford to have it on for long lol

And there's me thinking o.h. doesn't take notice of the news, he turned the gas fire off before he went to work at lunchtime, it is the only heater in the house, no central heating and the squitty gas wall heaters in the bedrooms are never in use cos they smell yukky.
I have just lit the fire again, cheapskate he is!
Lizx

He is one of those people who sit around in a t shirt in winter and doesn't feel the cold, he has so much fat to keep him warm, my fat is just decorative lol!
