The first old age pension was handed out in 1908 - it was five shillings, worth about 25% of the 1908 average wage! Today's pension is worth only 15% of today's average wage! |

Thanks Kath, any extra will be a help, would be good if they went back to even 20% of average wage, still wouldn't be as it was when first introduced. |
