My beautiful boy Ben has gone to be with his Jenna over the Rainbow Bridge-I am devastated but he isn't in pain or suffering anymore-I can't stop crying.
Thankyou all for your support over the last few days--I guess I knew the end was near but I couldn't give up on him-I couldn't-in the end his kidneys failed and he could barely get up.
I miss him desperately already he's been my precious boy for 18 1/2 years.
I love you my sweetheart and always will xxxxxxxxxx

Carol so sorry about Ben , dogs are such faith full friends and so very hard to replace and that's if you want to , as they own have there own character don't they ;;
He is at rest but will know you miss him and will never be far from you Im sure ;;;

Tribute To A Best Friend

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

So sorry to hear your sad news about Ben. Don't be sad (easier said than done, I know) but think of all the good times you shared and how you gave him a wonderful life and home for all those years. You could not have done any more for him. AL
