Just renewed my membership of GR - and they sent a receipt (never mentions sum of money) however when I read on down it is to find they have made me continuous membership - I have never ever had this and then they say any changes can be made in 'My Account' - where is it - I cannot find it - I have banged everything in sight in pure temper!!!!! |

Thank you - never noticed it hiding in RH corner!! Have fixed it. Is this a ploy by GR and trust that no one will notice that their membership has switched from single to continuous? |

Being on continuous was always cheaper (not sure if it still is) so actually they aren't necessarily being the bad guys here! |

hadn't thought of that but if they are moving people over automatically then its a bit naughty |

That is not the point Pink - one never knows if one wishes to halt and if one has - you would not be aware until the money was debited from your account. I never opted for continuous at any stage of my membership which is why I was so furious. |

They did it to me, too - was all set to renew and, hey presto, it was done! I never opted for continuous membership, thought I was going dotty and had clicked the button by mistake, but looks like it was GR! |

I've just checked mine because I only have a month to go and luckily it's where I left it. |

If it is set to one off, when the time comes to renew you may only get 6 months. The continuous gives 12 months. I queried this last time I renewed as I have never set to continuous and that was the explanation I received. |

I have been a member for 5 or 6 years - never opted for continuous and always upon renewal had 12 months membership - am now a member until 7 Jan 09 |

It has to be said, after my campaign to get one price for all which I was slammed down by GR, you are actually better having continual membership, you don't have to renew if you don't want to but it means that you qualify for a better rate. New members or those who didn't renew within two weeks (maybe a month) of renewal date will be charged £9.95 for SIX months whereas if you have 'Continual Membership', you will automatically get TWELVE months renewal for the same price when you next renew. |

Everyone seems to have different info as if they have been treated in different ways - I have just paid £9.95 today and my membership would have finished on the 7th - four days away - not two weeks or even a month and it has been renewed for one year - not six months. |

I just clicked on to ? Help Centre and checked cost - for full membership - it states that the cost is £9.95 for TWELVE months. |
