maybe ask a stone mason how much to fix it up first at least you know how much I 4rt if you change stone you have to have person who owns that plot permission I own my dads plot and stone mason got one line wrong mum complained and they said I had to give them permission to remove stone that was 5 years ago might of change plus different rules for different places

I would try repair first
then check with the other members of my family (if they wanted to help out then good) then I'd go ahead and replace it

you could ask how they feel about a whip round, cos if you dont and go and do it yourself that cause somthing else.. like why did'nt you ask me... i know cos i have 5 sisters lol

always wondered what happends to the plot you have brought dad was cremated and theres room for mum in there but I'm sure I read plot is only ours for 99 years wil have to have a read of it
