Why not look at a rescue centre sweets as so many small dogs will be handed in around this time and they love updates on their animals!

And they will have been fully innoculated etc.

Good luck

I know you want a small dog but have you thought about rehoming a greyhound...contrary to popular belief, they only need a little exercise and love snuggling in their bed snoozing for most of the day

hello girls and boys, we ae thinking more on the lines of a maltese , the reason being although it will still need a little excersise it suits me with my condition being small and more of a lap dog.

maltese needs grooming and clipping, what about a short haired small one, they dont need paying out for clipping and so on...
ive a lhasa apso, dont shed hairs but need clipping and grooming also...
hope you all had a lovley xmas and not so hung over today...

That's very true ....... You may have a local college that is teaching dog grooming though. I take my poodle there every 10 weeks it's dead cheap and she's yet to have a *scare cut* - she loves it there.xx

Hi Puss

I have got two Maltese (also known as Bichon Frise). They are wonderful dogs and I can't recommend them highly enough. They don't need much exercising, they don't moult so are great for anyone with asthma or allergies, and they are a very healthy and long-lasting breed. Yes, they need clipping every three months and it's also good to keep them brushed regularly, but you just plonk them on a table!

Mine are so loving, all the time, and they really have cheered us up through the bad times this year. As you know, I also have FM and I don't find the dogs too difficult at all. They are always ready with a kiss and cuddle lol!

We went to a breeder who was registered with the Kennel Club.

Puss, they have become so popular as pets over the last few years that they're not easy to get hold of, you might have to put your name down with a breeder (and it depends what breeders there are in your area, we had to go flipping miles to get ours lol!). I know how excited you are, I was too when we realised the time was right to get ours but, believe me, they are worth the wait!!

I will go and find out some details for you and I can also email you some pics of mine if you like?

Mandy :)
