did you spend ages before you added to the boards,or add straight away.

for me i added after about 2 days,asking how to do this,where do i go for that....how do i need to start.

I added pretty much straight away with tips and records.

Bit longer to add on the general board but only a matter of weeks after joining.xx

Took me about 3 months but it was very different then as the site had only been open for 6 months!

Was a member for about 4months before I added to the threads on general /chat.

Best thing I ever did, as I have spent many hours laughing at the banter that goes on. Even if I don't add to a thread, I still enjoy reading them.

I was adding to tips and records early on, but never really looked at General or Chat until about a year ago.

I first posted about on here in July/August time.

I added on tips almost right away, I paid so I could LOL But didn't add to gen for about 3 months!

I only went on Records, to ask bizarre questions like how do I access the 1965 census. The shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well......I joined in Dec 2003. I posted on the odd occassion on tips or trying to find.
We didn't have this here chat board back then LOL........I only started joing in this fun back in November........hardly ever bother with my Tree now as it's all gone very quiet.

I joined late Feb 2005 and I don't think it took me long to start joining in on this board, and my tree went down the list of priorities lol
One of my first threads was about our broken beds, those were the days lol, (only kidding honest) and another was the thread about the Pot Noodle horn advert, turns out many others disliked it as much as I did.
After that, I caught verbal diaorrhea as you can tell.

I only found the message boards last year... but had been all joined up for a couple of years by then (accidentally, and via a 12 year old neighbour, lol). I watched for about 6 months, then joined in a bit here and there.... took me a couple of weeks to find my comfy spot, now you can't get rid of me, lol!!!

It took a couple of months Joy because I did not know my websites from my elbow.....didn't know my way around.....still don't half the time.....slow learner perhaps....

.....but when I did, I didn't realise that you should introduce yourself first, I just jumped in and added to threads.....didn't even know what a thread was.....I have calmed down since, I hope.....

I was a member for 14 months before i said anything and i think that was on the Records board

Tips straight away, gen after ages (cos I am shy...lol)

My first ever thread was posted under the name of "The 2nd Wife" - my step daughter was getting married and I needed advice on ettiquette!

Shouldn't have bothered really as the family turned out to have no class whatsoever! LOL!!

But so glad I did, as I've met some fabulous people that have added to my life in ways they will probably never know!

And not forgetting I got to trek the Great Wall of China in the mad woman's name!

WALK THAT WALL, WALK THAT WALL - I still hear her say that now and again! God rest her soul!

I tiptoed about tips for about a week and then added to a thread on gen...think it was pink and mcAnne and that was it....I remeber when I first met TW ...lol
