My daughter doing mine tonight at Tesco.
Worth taking the kids overnight for that.
Been into Edinburgh today, and went to one shopping centre, and then the bus home.

Happy food, or pressie shopping lol

xx P.S. A shopping centre in Glasgow is staying open for 31hrs for last minute shoppers.

Wish our buses went to Sainsburys at midnight, I would have gone then. It was mayhem in there this morning, the queues for the checkouts were half way down the aisles and you couldn't get to the shelves.

Still, all done now apart from one or two bits which OH will get tomorrow.

you think it will be quiet or what Sam?
cos that's when they would have re-stocked and just opened-
see I'm thinking

there will be no kids, people are out drinking and stuff and surely no-one wants to go to asda at midnight???

To be honest our local Asda usually gets its bread / milk delivery any time between 3 & 4 am but I think there will be quite a midnight rush of shoppers tonight.

Well don't you be so sure Catherine, you can see by this thread you're not the only one with that idea LOL

Mind you, I've done mine at 4.00am when I lived in Essex, it was bliss! All the shelves were full, I could wheel my trolley round in peace, and take my time choosing, and still I got it all done in half the time with 95% less stress.

Certainly i don't Catherine so good luck. One of the advantages of going to daughters for Christmas until27th, no big shop to do. We just take wine, gin, tonic, the Christmas pud made by my lovely neighbour and a few bits and pieces. they did their shop yesterday at Tesco Winchester and had no problems, went for a few bits today, just got a basket lot, easy for them but huge queues on the other tills.

Don't envy any of you having to go out at midnight in this weather. It is below freezing here already with fog coming down fast.

~~~ waves to Marion ~~~
Our asda is usually 24 hr so their usual alcohol licence covers them but you might be right unless each shop has applied for a extention to theri licence
