Glad to hear Fatty Boy is a lot better.
Years ago my SIL shut our yorkie in the downstairs bathroom by accident. He barked so much he lost his voice for days, which actually wasn't too much of a hardship for us but must have been sore for him. She felt really guilty but these things happen with small pets.

Fatty's improving and will possibly be home tomorrow. I'm so relieved!

The vet has said that for the next month, Fatty will have to have weekly check-ups, but he's definately on the mend and the kidney damage doesn't appear to be severe. He did a little tinkle this morning on his own which is a really good sign.

My lovely Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is Fatty Boy? My Jethro got shut in the downstairs loo last night.... he must have been playing with the laces on the shoerack, but even though I checked, I hadn't seen him... I heard him about 4am. They are so quick, and if they don't want to be seen they won't be, so it was pure accident.

Hope he is well now, and you have recovered from the shock you must have had as well.

Love

Daff xxx

Hope your cat is soon ok and home with you, he will steer clear of sheds now I guess. An easy mistake to make, and you mustn't beat yourself up about it.

I was hoping to bring Fatty Boy home today but the vet has said that Fatty still isn't out of the woods just yet.

They ran some tests on him today and the results of his kidney function test wasn't the best. There has been some kidney damage done but at this stage, the vet doesn't know how severe.

Fatty may be able to come home in 2-3 days if his kidneys start functioning properly. I don't want to think of the alternative!

I'm letting you all know what's happening with my cat as a warning on how easily an animal can overheat and the damage it can do. Although I'm a responsible pet owner, this terrible thing has happened to my Fatty Boy.

So please.......................know where your pets are and watch out for them.

Deb
