He always denied it though apparently. Would have liked to have heard his side of the story.

If the film was anything to go by, he treated her badly.

Lisa - usually comes with the beatings somewhere along the line - the film was 'watered down' for obvious reasons.

Her talk of abuse certainly furthered her own career didn't it - where is the actual evidence? For god's sake the guy just died!

However, what are you basing your comments on?
I think he probably was guilty of that awful behaviour but we don't actually have any evidence.
(I am purely playing devil's advocate here, before a nasty jumps on me!)

Chris I repeat what I said and by the same token "just because someone has died etc etc" also "just because" (an awful phrase) - we should show respect for someone that has died. Again, he may have done all that but you are only basing this on hearsay and third party anecdotes and it is wrong
