Lou

Gladyou got to see her perfrom.
You should be at our school... health and safety seem to go out of the window lol We stand round the edge and also along the back, no ticket allocations either. Most of the years do two performances. Youngest son had one this morning and his second tonight. I went this morning and his dad will go tonight . We always make sure they have at least one person in teh audience for their shows. have neice tomorrow and nephew on thurs. And yes I know what youmean by the look on her face, son couldn't see me this morning and we could see him saying to the girl next to him 'I can't see my mum' the relief on his face when he spotted me was lovley.

Oh and we can video and photograph the kids... Head asks at begining of each show if anyone objects if no one does then we can go ahead.

Big difference to last year when the school hit the national headlines for cancelling christmas LOL

WELL.....
Am still tearful now...
Wish you lot could have seen her face when she spotted me - it's what being a mummy is all about!
She was confident and loud and everyone said she was brill!!!!

I left something 'edible' for the lovely little girl who made this possible and have passed on my thanks - Also to her mum..

No photos tho *Sniff*, as the school said they didn't have all the parents permissions....

She's busy playing with her friend now (who she forgot to tell me she'd invited for tea tonigh, lol)

Bet you are enjoying yourself !

Our school allocates two tickets per child, its the only fair way to do it. Giving away extra tickets before the day isnt fair.

Our school gave our tickets out for thur & Fri today.

Any remaining tickets will be allocated on a first come basis on the morning of each performance.

Cant wait for Fri, Connie has a narrators job & it will be nice to hear, as last time, some with preschoolers let their kids make noise throughout the performance

This year, new head teacher, made Monday a day for all those who had young kids to attend, so it wont spoil the other performances.

pmsl...I can hear Connie singing the Xmas songs for fri downstairs :o))))

What a truly generous spirit this little girl has.....bless her heart......and how thoughtless of the school not to provide enough tickets.....

I know how you must feel, my DiL's Mum and I have just come back from our little granddaughter's nativity where she was a narrator (age 4 1/2) and it was brilliant, all the nursery school and reception class 120 children in all......and a hall full of grandparents for the dress rehearsal, with the full thing for the Mums and Dads tonight.....

Your little one will remember you being there for her Lou, thanks to this lovely young girl, whose parents should be congratulated for having an unselfish daughter.......enjoy the show......don't forget the hankie.....x

I am surprised the school could not have got round that. But what a wonderful gesture from that young girl and her Mum (who also probably wanted to see the show. have you considered writing in to the school to praise her action, saying how distraught Jess was?

Yes, My neices school allocates two tickets per child (and any extra can be ordered)
Apparently the tickets were on a first come basis - just that they forgot to tell everyone! *Tut*

Anyway - am away now to watch my princess...

the schools round my way save two tickets per children so that no parents can miss out, maybe you could ask the school to do the same, it saves on the upset of the parents and children going without. i hope you have a great time. what a lovely girl to do something so selfless. i think thats right)

She was a mean old witch too Mandy, lol...
I even said i'd stand with my feet out of the room and just 'lean in', pmsl- but NOPE, it's 'regulations'...(i used to be health and safety trainer at work, so i know what she's on about) But still!!!!!!
*Sniff*

At least that LOVELY little girl could see my desperation....(Will cheer twice as hard for her when she's on)

That's wonderful Lou! Break a leg Jess lol!

Until 2 years ago, I was a School Administrator. Yes, there are fire regs and health & safety regs, but we would have got round it somehow. We would never have left a Mum without a ticket, or a child without their Mum in the audience!
