Ann,No not boring at all.We all need a push and shove and it can be done. When i lost 6 stone it was mostly by swimming and gym.Not everyone can do this.Dont think i can now.Just diet and gentle excercise.I have put 3 stone back on over 5 years by being lazy. Annie

Have no desire to sound like a know it all but got a few dieting tips here - my pal and I joined weight watchers last year and did fantastically just by following the rules which were an absolute doddle. Why you may ask do I have a problem now! Well we reached out goal weights and I reverted to my habit of eating very little cos I am a very small eater and am lazy as far as cooking meals these days [since Lawrence died that is] If you don't eat a sufficient amount your body thinks it's being starved and will store up fat and I am living proof of that! You m,ust start with a breakfast, essential - I used to have Special K and a banana sliced on top. Change to skimmed milk - Cravendale is marvellous, better than ordinary and has a very long shelf life. Then eat a sensible lunch and dinner. Hopefully with all of you I can get re-motivated and carry on where I left off. Hope I haven't bored you all to death or sounded patronising - not meant!

How about trying to arrange a get together of all the 'sensible eaters' after about 3 months?

If when we start we make daily diary of all we have eaten and any exercise we have done.If someone one week has lost a lot of weight and someone else has not we can all share what we have done and back each other up.We must not forget though some people drink and will cut this out,so that will lose weight straight away when someone else does not drink. For some that cant get around a lot, perhaps a little walk around the block daily would also help. I'll join, its my birthday on 2nd so it would be a present to myself if I could lose some weight, 1 1/2 stone would be good, 2 would be even better. Size 16/18 now, would be great to get down to a 14 again.
I used to be a Twiggy too !

Reckon if I spent less time sitting at the computer and more time moving it would be easier. However..........some sacrifices are too much.

Hi Lesley,

Thank you. Was determined not to be a "fat bride". Wedding Dress looks OK, but I would be happier to lose another couple. Here's hoping!!!

I will join you. I need to lose about a stone although nothing seems to shift the extra weight (which will be more after Christmas). It will mean more exercise I am sure.
