Malc /GG and Jackie

Malc /GG and Jackie Report 2 Dec 2007 17:41

After posting the thread yesterday when I said we wondered what else could do wrong...something has!! Apparently Mum has an absys on her stomach which became infected and she now has MRSA. We have been told that she has probably caught it from one of the nursing staff. So as well as having sickness and an upset stomach, she is now having to battle with MRSA!! We are absolutely gobsmacked.

We really are not sure how much more a frail lady of 91 can take before her body just gives up. She is obviously not able to tell anyone exactly how she feels, so we just have to wait and see now and hope that she pulls through.

is there no end to it, the poor lady. Sending her (and you and Malc) lots of (((hugs)))

For the hospital to admit that she caught it from one of the nurses only goes to prove that they are not following hygiene recommendations.

I have to say i dread going in for my minor op in January, not because of what I have to have done but because of what I can catch in the hospital.

I don't know what to say to help you through this time.................it's a national disgrace that the hospitals are such unsafe places to be.

All I can do is send my love and heartfelt wishes that Malc's mum stays comfortable and oblivious to what is happening to her.

xx
