Luckily I dont have to deal with it muffy but my sis washes my neices hair with teatree shampoo and conditioner and a combe all year round. I understand it is recommended for keeping the bleeders way. |

hi hun,best trick wash and condition every 2 days,and comb.the nit has a 7 day maturity cycle,if they dont reach adulthood they cant lay eggs. |

The tea tree stuff is great and smells nice too. But rather than spending out constantly you could get an electric zapper, run it through their hair everyday after school and it should keep things under control. |

Hi Muffy, I work with kids and this is definitely nit season. It depends on your stamina but this is what you do to avoid the costs: buy Asda or Tesco Tea Tree Oil Conitioner. Apply this to your child's hair every night and comb through. This removes live bugs and breaks legs of others, sorry, but it stops them reproducing. Do this every few days at the most until spring if not longer. Bugs love clean hair and we all get them. Have been sicked on just recently but not bugged this year yet..... |
