lol... My sister, aged 15, was walking down the road smoking a cigarette. The road is long, and there was no-one else on it. My dad pulled up alongside her, just as she was taking a huge long drag..

*What do you think you are doing* said my dad

*It's not mine, I'm looking after it for my friend* says my sister. Blowing smoke into my dad's face as she said it. And not a soul visible on the half mile stretch of road.

*You're smoking!* He yelled at her.

*I'm not* she said *I'm licking it cos it was dripping*

Now that, was imaginative... we are still hysterical about it to this day!!

Muffy, when my kids were little we had a "Mr Nobody" in our house who was very naughty. Seems like you have one too!!

Bare-faced Liar.....!!!!

My son in the skin-head era ,came home with his eyebrows shaved off, being summer time he was tanned with these two white stripes above his eyes.!
When I asked him if he knew where they had gone he said "No Mum"
with a very straight face!

Maybe the eyebrow fairy took them?

Most kids will fib to get them out of trouble, I catch my son when he says he didn't do something by saying "Why did you do that?" to which he answers "I don't know". He's catching on now he's getting older.
I had a mysterious pen all over the rug incident lately. No one did it! If I catch bleeding no one he/she'll be for it. It's not the first time that this no-one has done naughty things in my house.
When I was a little girl I wrote sums on my stripey sheets. My aunt who was minding me didn't know whether to tell me off or praise me as I'd got them right, Ah those were the days - when I could add up! lol

thats just what mine was like with her humphrey, i told her next time he drew Ss round the place shew ould get the tellin off and smaked bum, if he didnt stop it, supriseingly humphrey never wrote her initial again,
lol
i love your daughters friend the chimney sweep sounds great, really imaginative,

dont worry muffy about the fibbing, its clever but just be one step ahead of um and always be aware it may be extention of the truth, only my daughter spun the bigest yarns, even once tellin me the blonde hair on car seat was daddys girlfriend, funny that cos daughter has lovley long blonde hair, little tinker

You're right Ann. I know I'll treasure it later like I do memories from when they were babies. It's funny in a way I know, but the fibbing does worry me.

Her teacher says it's a sign of intelligence. mmmmmmmmmmm lol xx

Julie Ann,
My youngest was the same - it was always Patrick her imaginary victorian chimney sweep of a friend LOL
I got so fed up that I asked her to tell Patrick it wasn't nice, and told her that if her friends didn't behave they'd have to go - and it was her responsibility to make them behave!!!
Pretty tough going on a 3 year old - but the drawing etc stopped!!

And in 30 years time, you will be proudly displaying her artwork to her children, and chuckling at the memory, and wondering how you can preserve it forever!!

My son dug a hole in my new marble table 30 years ago... and every time I look at that spot, I can see his little face, and hear his little voice saying *but it's a digger, mummy, that's what did it*
