I got my babies in with me now. They are lion head rabbits and now the winter is here they have their full manes and skirts. Jasmine the black one is sprawled out by the radiator, Angel they grey one is on the settee and Mogwi the white one who im sure has some angora in her is sat with her head on my feet she dont mind the cheesy smell lol

We got them all at different times and they all are quite happy together though we were warned they may fight so its all worked out well my main problem is all the hair they leave everywhere and trying to stop myself buying more lol

The breeder clearly didn't have a clue, Sharon. It does upset me when Ihear things like this. It is true that there are children with Autistic Spectrum disorder who have a *thing* against animals of one sort or another, and this can be very difficult to overcome, but generally, an animal is just ignored!! Your daughter already interacted with Daisy, so there was hardly likely to be a problem in the future, if you hadn't had one already!

my old boss [he's younger than me actually!] had a failed alsatian police dog - too soft for the force - he's called Mungo - daft as a brush. They just got a new little black kitten and can you bvelieve that Mungo is letting the kitten suckle! - it's hysterical to see this little ball of fluff finding it's way through a lot of shaggy fur to find somewhere to lock on - no wonder Mungo never made the police force. We reckon he's gay!

Darl she sounds gorgeous!! They are very clever but placid cats, aren't they?

Jax, Id love a couple of rabbits, but we decided against it. Hubby thought they would be at risk as we live in the country and have a very wooded area surrounding us... but we are part of the flight path for a couple of big owls, plus a buzzard. Also a vixen gave birth close by last year, and I have seen a magnificent dog fox quite a few times. When I told hubby that the rabbits would be house rabbits... he looked at me as though I had five heads!! He told me very politely that five cats was quite enough, lol!!

Yours sound beautiful!

This is a brilliant thread McAnne.... I love it!!

Hi Daff, yes they can be placid but she also has a nasty streak which was evident when she got caught in the venitian blind and bit me -no stitches but a tetnus shot, my daughter tells me she is feral but I love her , HI Jax I use to have a rabbit when I was a kid but where we live in Queensland they are illegal I feel for the children not being able to have a pet rabbit.

Its really easy to litter train a rabbit well ours was the main problem is that they have a tendancy to chew wires so you cant leave them unattended for long

Hi Jax
I know rabbits are smart but the government has classified them as pests and you can be fined for having them, its the same with ferrets. government gone mad !

Hi

My grey and white boy adopted me 2 yrs ago !!
It was winter when he appeared and cat protection were full so I fed him .I put up posters and advertised in the paper no takers .Took some posters to the local shops and the fist shop I went into turned out the cat belonged to the shop assistant .His name is smokey and she had him and his sister since they were kittens .She collected him and I thought that was that but no he kept coming back to me .I didn't encourage him as I have cat allergy
Next time I saw the lady I asked how the cat was doing .She said he has gone again and if he comes back we are taking him to the cat and dog home as we don't want him !!!
He was an undressed 2 yr old and she wouldn't lock the cat hatch so what did she expect .
I contacted cat protection they had him dressed and he was eventually rehomed to a lovely couple who had bought a basket collar toys etc.
2 days later the lady phoned very upset the cat had run away .Yes you know where he landed up back at my door having crossed many very dangerous dual carriage ways .
I gave in at that point and kept him .He is a lovely natured cat and I can't understand any one having him for 2 yrs then not giving a damn .
When I see his previous owner at the shop she has never once asked how he is doing but her loss is my gain !!!!

Jax, I have just donated my rabbit run (brand new, used for the kittens when they were tiny, lol) to someone who has just got a couple of house rabbits. They go into the run at times she can't supervise, as they chew, too!!

Night night Darlene.

Kathy, he definitely picked you, didn't he? I love happy pet stories!

Love

Daff xxx (must go and take my mother out now, or she'll turn into a Rottweiller, lol) ;~))

Oh Kathy that's lovely!

Clicquot was a rescue and I still remember her sitting in the pen trying really hard to look POSH but she was almost bald where they had to shave her due to matting!

When I went in the pen she just looked at me and sort of communicated "Lets go then, if we are going!" - She came home with me that day, after they had done a house visit and 5 years later here we are..... she has gone twice in that time, both times for 3 days...... and I was beside myself with worry, but she came back cos she knows where her human lives! When I drive up at night after work, she appears from wherever she has spent the day and greets the car with lots of noise wanting feeding!

She is a madam and not at all cuddly, unless she wants tickles when we are in bed, but I wouldn't swap her for anything in the world!

xx

Well Millie had her second vaccination and was micro chipped last night ......... she was on top form during the evening, but she's obviously feeling the effects this morning as she didn't wake me - she has hardly eaten - isn't playing and just went back to her bed bless her .................

I have four fluffy owners, Posh, a long haired tabby and white and her daughter Saffie a grey tabby.
We also haveAmber, a black and white we rescued and Tanzie,a light grey tabby who is about 9 months.
We have an old farmhouse with lots of outbuildings and our cats are all out door pets. They love too taunt our two German Shepherds and Golden lab and rule over all the other animals.
We wll let Posh have kittens next spring as our friends want two of her kittens and no doubt any left over will remain as pets.

Hello everyone of you furry creatures and your owners.

I am Buster, Gillie's cat, I'm rather a large black and white tabby cat, Gillie says I'm called Buster because I've always been big, she means fat really!!! Cheek!!! she isn't too slim herself lol.
She has no idea I am fiddling about with her PC, I am usually by this time curled up on her bed asleep, but as she is in the kitchen watching out of the window at her new bird feeders waiting to see the birds come and eat the fat balls, peanuts and seeds that she went and bought yesterday in hope of getting some birds in the garden, she won't know I have posted on here.

I just wanted to say hello to all you lovely friends and furry animal lovers.

I shall try and be a good boy and pose for mummy to take a photo of me, but I usually play her up and won't sit still.

Love Buster Cat. XXXX
