Hi Jackie,

My cousin in Canada had an aortic aneurysm operated on a couple of years ago. It was discovered because he noticed a "pulsing" sensation in his abdominal area.

He had a stent inserted through his groin into the aorta. He had regular scans afterward, because there is a possibility of the stent moving out of position, but after two years it has stabilised.

Best wishes to you and your husband, and I hope he will soon be well and back to normal....just as my cousin is!

Jackie, hope all goes well through the op and your hubby is soon home and wearing his Marigolds lol
Seriously, I am sure the docs know what they are doing and him having the heart attack was a good thing or they wouldn't have found this new problem.
Strange how things work eh?
Will be thinking of you and hubby, he has the same name as my o.h.

Hi Everyone
Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. Even though I am worried sick he is getting the best possible care. He just's wishes it was all over. I went to see him this morning and it looks like Monday or Tuesday for the Op. I will let you all know how it goes.

Dee and the others who have heard of it being done thank you for your comments. Keith is not having it through the groin they will do it through the abdomin he will be having a stent put in made of a Dacron Material I believe and hopefulyy will get back to his normal routine after about 4 weeks if all goes well.

Once again thank you all I really apprecite your thoughts
Kind Regards
