My sons regiment (old) went back to Iraq last week, a women I work with,son has gone..I saw her this morning in the lift and asked how she was ? I squeezed her hand and told her I had been thinking of her..

Its very hard isnt it? when my OH laid the wreath at the cenotaph I was stood by two brave ladies whose sons never came back........

3 little girls at my little ones school have their Daddy leaving in 2 weeks, hes TA SAS, there Grandma has both her boys going,

God bless them all, OHs regiment will be doing compulsory mob for Afghanistan next year, praying it wont come to it...

ermm yes Julie Ann she did look choked....but I know when my son was there it was my friends and family who kept me going just by showing an interest, so I dont feel like I was boring them to dealth...

Well.......................I've just had to scrape the remains of an exploding pie from the cooker.

It was a shop one....................I followed the destructions.............but the filling was determined to escape it piecrust lid!!!!

*sighs deeply and goes to find brillo pad*

I've got a cold - some paperwork that *MUST* be completed and freinds coming over for a meal in about an hour.

But I just cant work up enthusiasm for either :(

The mash and veg were good though.................and only a couple of lumps in the gravy :)))

Maybe its a good idea just to have a touch lower till the last 5 mins and turn up to 5 ..to brown..or is too much common sense...lol but well done with mash and gravy xxxxx
