I started off with Freeserve 'pay as you go'. Then it changed to Wanadoo and I upgraded to 'anytime'. That used to disconnect after a certain length of time. It was in the contract that it would, but no problem just dial back in again. Then it became Orange and I went to Broadband. I have never been disconnected. I haven't yet gone to 8mgs, don't really need it. I'm with Peter in support of Orange, but perhaps we are lucky with our locations.

My son had Tiscali for sometime but was having endless trouble with them because his usage was not unlimited (as they stated) and he likes to download music etc. He has now changed to BT.

I think when you are choosing a Server you should read the small print and make sure what they offer is suitable for your usage.
