I use Nativity ones, as it's Christ-mas, so either make mine or buy from a Bible Shop.

Yes I do look and see if I have received charity cards. I always buy charity cards (for a family related life long 'problem') so that some profits go the help others. Jx

Yes but it comes from my days working as an account- ex for a major greeting company.
If it was not one of ours, I would always look at the back to see who made it. Still cannot get out of the habit :))

I must admit I get mine from M&S.

We buy quite cheap cards, but we also buy charity cards.
cancerbacup.
heart and children's charities. Whichever comes through the door first gets it.
We also send a small cheque to Casa Alianza, and children in need.... and often The Salvation army.
Having said that don't be too impressed, the amount we can afford wont take them far.
We work on the belief that 'every little helps'.

I have to be honest Hayley I am really shallow and just look at the pretty picture on the front lol.

It always depends how organised I am as to where I buy my cards from. These days - post children - I tend to just grab a few packs from Tescos as I'm doing my weekly shop. In years gone by I would have wandered around for ages just to find the *right* cards.xx

Hayley, I usually get offers through the post, and put them aside until i need to send for them.
But there are lots of places that do them.
Charity shops, but they are usually their own charity.
Mind you.... it is a long time since I went out to a charity shop.
You kind of lose your freedom in a wheelchair.... it goes where your *pusher pushes it*. :-0)

We like to buy a box from Lifeboats charity as we have had Royal Navy and Merchant Navy in the family.

I send a lot of cards including to the Girl Guides I run so I also buy nice boxes of cards in the January sales. I can pick up good ones then for very little.
I buy my wrapping paper, crackers etc in January too.

All the suitable cards we receive get turned into next year's gift tags and the rest either used as shopping lists or recycled.

They sell cards for a wide range of different charities and, as they are a charity in themselves run by volunteers, the charities get over 80% of the pack price.

Their shops are usually set up in churches or Tourist Information Centres and I've bought mine via them for many years now, apart from when I sometimes make my own.

Hayley, the site I mentioned sells cards for many different charities. This year we have supported the Stroke Association, Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Nurses, Epilepsy and Diabetes charities.

I haven't got mine yet but I got last years from the British Heart Foundation shop, and they were good value and for a good cause.
