Thanks everyone

I decided to make the best of a bad job and I've had the whole lot (shoulder length) hacked off to chin length. Lots of layers and wisps so now instead of it looking a bit odd it looks funky (as PP so eloquently said - great word Liz lol).

Not sure I would have taken the plunge but for the rotten colour but I feel much better now.... Soon as I have time tomo I promise I will sort out the pic and send xx

Muffy, I am sure you look really funky and you could always say you had it done for Children in Need day or something! Or that you were trying to look autumnal like Bill Oddie on Autumn watch tonight lol
Seriously, you can tone the colour down by using the H and S dandruff shampoo, it is well known for stripping unwanted colour from hair, but if I were you, I would give it a day or so and a couple of washes and you might find you like it.

No-one's havin my cat yet awhile as I still only have an inch of hair and its pluddy COLD outside! LOL!!

A whole INCH of "virgin" mousy and grey hair.

Methinks it will lose it's virginity very soon....Bring on the highlights or even scarlet streaks! Can't wait!

muffy i wrote of simular experience recently,
i had to go back next day to have chocolate colour put in to mellow it a bit
it resembled candiflooss after sleepin on it and washin it,
i got called flossy in work

I bet it really looks fab. I wish I had the courage to do something similar.

There's only a week between and good and a bad hair do, I promise you, LOL.

It will tone down by the end of this week ... or, you will be used to it by then one or the other.

oooooooo Kay you see this is where I show what a wuss I am lol.

The girl that does my hair is a lovely girl. She's a mobile hairdresser and is having huge probs in her life. I really don't want to hurt her feelings by asking her to change it she'd be crushed. I'd rather look like a toffee apple for a few weeks than do that !!! She's usually really good. I think she just had a bad day xx
