really felt for her , i dont by any papers i live in a quiet place and like to remain ignorent to the outside world, lived in the rat race once .

I stopped reading newspapers 10 years ago because I couldn't believe a word in them.

If I want to read fantasy, which I don't, I'd buy these so called 'celebrity magazines'.

I watch several different news bulletins on different stations and listen to the radio. I like to think by sifting all the information I get a little nearer the truth... but who knows.

No Joy, not always.....I read and make my mind up, especially about celebs writing about each other, after all they want to appear the good guy, and make out its the other that is bad.....

....I think I would be biased anyway, I never have been keen on Heather Mills....

I agree with Sally, I am afraid.

She hoped to be treated as the second Princess Di when she took on the banning Landmine issue (I know she had been involved before, but not as the major celeb)

But I haven't seen anything like the hounding that Di had, and to compare herself is just well, ludicrous.

Hello Joy, I have been around.. my fingers were glued to the keyboards on Monday... Kitty was trying to cook my wormery dwellers.

Yesterday I was busy with my mum.. she was due her weekly airing, so we hit Sainsbury's and Wilkinsons!!

Heather Mills was always happy to court the press and was a remarkable self-publicist from the day she first appeared on Richard and Judy. Apparently she wasn't above telling a few porkies herself about her past.

This time someone else has lied to the press.

Get over it, Heather, you were happy enough to use the papers for your own ends when they were on your side.

I never buy a paper so have not followed any of what has been said about her or her hubby but I did see her onGMTV and almost felt sorry for her until she said that she could go and live in USA but wants to stay here so her daughter could be near her dad. Can her dad not jet set around the world to visit her whenever he wanted to?

i do think the papers havve alot to answer for though.xx

I totally agree but the lies they printed about Maddie's parents are a lot worse than mere gossip about Heather Mills.

Heather Mills - well I could not believe she stated that she had never heard of the Beatles and was not aware of his music - this was in the early days of their courtship/engagement. Where was she living - not on Planet Earth evidently.

i think the papers in england sensationalize [huge word].
if as you say they have lied about the mccanns,whats to say they have,nt about heather mills.

I agree with alot of you about reading the papers they cause more trouble than ever...

I gave up reading them after my nephew was killed the day after it was reported that a 12 week baby had been raped ....

I'm not saying they haven't lied about her, Joy. Just as, apparently, she lied to them in the past. What goes around comes around.

I have little patience with so-called celebrities who do anything they can to get in the press and become famous then, having achieved that aim, begin to whine about privacy.

She Got what she set out to do, She Is a very devious Woman, But that's only my opinion,I don't know her Personally.
I dont feel any pity for her.

I only buy a paper on a Saturday because there is a "free" TV guide. I have been subjected to a newspaper "modifying what I said". Thy did not lie in the true sense of the word, but the wording used was very ambiguous. They then put there hands on their hearts, ooppps sorry they do not have hearts, and said "Its the way you interpret the report, that's not our fault". I will never speak to a journalist ever again and I would not trust any of them as far as i could throw a grand piano.

Fame brings many rewards, money, social standing, acknowledgement...but it also has a down side......so if you don`t like the heat don`t go in the kitchen.
