Maybe I'm old school, not sure, but with over 30 years experience as a dance teacher I would hope to god I know something about dance, even if it is not ballroom.

There is no way Gabby should have gone. Although she was a gymnast, bess her, she has improved every week, her quick step was beautiful, she was the dark horse of the competition and therefore I would have expected her to be in the final or semi-final at least.

Kelly was as Conti Kid (as was my daughter) and her dancing is very good - should she have been in the competition?
Brendon is so up himself, he does it for attention thats why he put in 3 lifts, but if he had been kosha they may have got all 10's! However the BBC film the rehursals/training and the dress rehursal and I would have expected someone to say something and stop it before - ratings ploy????

As for the other 'donut' Bruno how the hell could he give a 10, it was clearly in breach of the rules and if it had been a professional competition they would have been disqualfied.

Letitia again was one of Sylvie Youngs girls and would have had some training, obviously dance was not her strong point!! debatable about the acting too!!!

Unfortunately the British love an underdog and that is what Kate is, and to a certain degree Kenny. Those 2 should have been in the dance off no way Penny and Gabby. If I was Len Goodman I would have been furious too.

Britain its a DANCING COMPETITION not a PERSONALITY COMPETITION. Watch the dancers decide who has improved, ie maybe MATT and then vote for the couple who have achieved that arghhhhhhhh.

On another point (then I will get off my soapbox) the choice of music is a bit suspect, I'm all for evolution but please a Tango should have tango music not something that may resemble a tango!! I am waiting to see what happens with the Paso - Kenny in a Kilt do me a favour, please...............................

now off my soapbox and going for a drink!!!

I was watching Helen, and disgusted by the whole thing. But remember that it is the VIEWERS who vote them in or out.

They must have thought that there was no danger of either of those two girls going, so voted for someone who they thought need their votes!

Kate does not think she is good, I watched her this morning with Anton, and she is embarrassed by it all.
But she did not vote for herself.

I really love that programme, and was very upset on two counts this week.

first Gabby going, and secondly, when the professional dancers were on... I could not see them for all the flashing lights....

DON'T WATCH IT MUCH, BUT DID ON SUNDAY. HAVE TO SAY, I THOUGHT PENNY WENT THROUGH BECAUSE SHE HAS LONG LEGS.
STILL SAY ALL THESE PROGRAMMES VOTES ARE RIGGED.

We are all entitled to our own opinions! And people vote as they think fit!

BUT is it not a little strange that before (not quite sure when) I'm sure I heard that Rod Stewart is booked to appear this week! Therefore, possibly, the judges had to keep his wife in?

I thought Gaby's dance off was superior to Penny's and agree that Kate should have dropped out in the beginning. How she can continue 'trying' to dance when she has absolutely no rhythmn? It just shows she has no conscience and has gone way down in my book.

In future I don't think I'll watch the Sunday programme (dislike it being on Sunday anyway) and just enjoy the dancing on Saturday. Must add I thought Matt was superb!

I have a theory about all this.

Since the great phone-in fiasco and rip off, TV companies are now having to account properly for the viewer's votes, whereas before, it was already decided who was going to win and loose, and the viewers votes were largely ignored.

Just shows though, viewers are not interested in ability - makes a mockery of the entire thing.

And while we are at it can we have some new judges next time (apart from Len of course)

ahhhhh, but is the telephone voting kosha??????

Its about time,(After this Fiasco) they let only the Judges Decide,"On Merit" not on which "Soap Opera" you take part in.The Judges were disgusted, and they "Cut" a remark made by Bruce Forsyth about it. Its about Ability Not Popularity. But lets face it,its not as they say,"Strictly Come Dancing" Its "Exhibition Dancing",Not Exactly what you would expect in Nomal Ballroom Dancing. **M**.

FUMING Bruce Forsyth saw Strictly Come Dancing favourite Gabby Logan axed, then told voting viewers: “Next week, remember this is a dance contest.”

Bruce, whose comment was edited out, was furious at Gabby’s departure — and viewers keeping in hopeless dancers like Kate Garraway and Gabby’s hubby Kenny.

Viewers had made Gabby — 4/1 favourite to WIN the show with partner James Jordan — and Penny Lancaster and Ian Waite the last two pairs.

It meant judges had to choose between them and they decided to give Gabby, 34, the boot.

That was despite her having one of the best first-round judges’ scores of the night.

Judge Bruno Tonioli agreed with Bruce’s remark.

He said of the vote: “That was absolutely ridiculous. A fiasco.”

Last night Gabby said: “I’m old school: ‘the harder you practise the luckier you get’. So my exit was rather a shock.”

One thinks yet again its a popularity test not an ability one!

Gabby has had a slating in the papers for how much she wants to win - hence we make her leave! How can they actually do this is beyond me!

Watching the show I think Kate, John Barnes, and Kenny looked the worse dancers, don't think either of the bottom two should have been their.
also Kelly brooke went to Italia Conti and had lots of dance taining also Leticia Dean was a pupil at Sylvia Youngs dance is part of their education!

I think Brendan should have been penalised for putting in three lifts intstead of two - he should have known better - he's the professional. Jx

I must admit that although I said that Kate should of been in the bottom 2, I do fancy Anton and also Brendan is hot. I must say that they do tend to give Anton the "older" celebrities. I think that Brendan stands a chance of winning this series as Kelly and him do make a good team. But I must say that I think the winners tend to be the ones that are popular with the public and not necessarily the best dancers.

I love this programme,as the music as well as the dancing is from an era that I can identify with.

As has been said, tonights voting was,i believe, unfair, and I think that folks who watch the soaps etc,and probably shows that some of the so called celebs are in,vote for the person they know and not for their performance.

In my opinion,Kate and Kenny should have been in the dance off.The judges weren't at all happy.

Kate must have had a terrific lot of votes from the public as she was bottom in the marks from the judges.

I agree, Kate should have gone, she was terrible. Anton was having to throw her around. Having said that perhaps she was put off by the singers unique interpretation of Dancing Queen. lol
I watch it at the parents house on Saturday as OH and the kids would just whine, they did let me watch the results in peace but i think 30 mins is all they can stand.
