This will upset you all but here in South Australia we have a flour mill and they make a bread mix for bread makers !! 4 cups mix 450 mls water 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast put in bread mixer and four hours later beautifull loaf, phytosoy is my favourite, lasts for quite a while, but you do need an electric knife as well for cutting your home made bread !! Chris. |

Muffy one or two last things - cut the butter (if you use it) up real small so it folds easier and make sure yu have a plastic spatular (not metal) sometimes you need to help it in the corners - the Kenwood plastic ones cost about £3.00 but well worth having. |

Right. Just ordered one. It's a Morphy Richards where you can add stuff later on in the cycle and also has the paddles which fold down. I shall be the next Kingsmill lolololol. Ta for the advice everyonexx |

Muffy, any bread has to be made with STRONG plain flour, not ordinary plain flour or self-raising flour. |

Mine does bread and other things but I only do bread in it--I inherited it from my mum (my dad won it) it's a big hit with all the family and the hot bread lasts about 5 minutes--only bad thing is it takes so blinkin long! The fast "turbo" setting doesn't do the bread as nice! |

I'm on my 2nd breadmaker. Beautiful for dough for breadcakes. Make fresh bread every other day. Yes we all are a set of greedy fat bugs but it's nice...Pamx |

Strong Plain Flour - but experiment - I have been in my garden and added a dash of this and a dash of that from my herb garden. My other fave is to add some grated cheese and a teaspoon of marmite in the mix. |

Brilliant. thanks everyone. I 'm definately going to get one then. I love bread but I hate the stuff you buy in the shops and as I said I'm way too lazy to go shopping for fresh everyday !! |
