Can anyone help me please?

Is it any good? Is there anything I should make sure it has on it- extra gadgets etc? and do you use it often?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm clueless about them. I just know I'm sick of eating yukky shop bought bread that goes off after 2 days and I'm too bone idle to go shopping everyday !!! lol xx

I have one....really good bread! The only trouble is that it gets eaten before it even gets cold lol....not done much experimenting but use the 'quick bake' and it's very good!

Blimey, I haven't been on here for ages! I love my breadmaker! Only problem with it is the hole in the bread left by the kneading blade - try and get one that has a kneading blade that flops down. Mines a Morphy Richards compact. they come with a small recipe booklet - porridge bread is fantastic!

We make jam in ours - it doubles as both.

Claire is obviously more refined than me - my paddle flops down, hers descends!

Yep get one Muffy.

I not only bake bread in mine, I use it to make the dough for rolls and pizza too.

It all comes out perfect everytime. The only downside is the amount of drooling you do smelling it :)

Daft question time........ I know I'll need yeast but what else? lol.xx

I got a middle of the range one its a Kenwood. I did a bit of research before buying one and spoke to a few people that have them.

Three things I looked for was to make sure it had:

1. A quick loaf (about an hour) as well as a standard one which can take up to three (fast loaves are good).

2. A setting where it beeps if you want to add nuts or dried fruit ( you shouldnt really add them at the start)

3. and finally a timer - cos if you want to do a fresh loaf for the mornign its easier to set the imer for a few hours before you get up.

My only other tip is to use powdered milk not fresh if using the timer.

Well done Julie :))

See, now it's getting a bit technical for me, so I think I will perfect my sloww cooker cooking and pie baking before I get too adventurous. lol
