Lancashire Witch

Lancashire Witch Report 22 Oct 2007 21:01

LOng for a decent Lancashire chip butty. In fact Lancashire fish & chips.

No decent fish & chips shops in Scotland - just horrid, greasy, yukky mess. Rubbish sausage, rubbish black pudding (not at all like the Bury variety).

how do ya make a sausage square?

Thought they had the skin on a machine and pumped the meat through it, hence they are long and round, so how does it get square from that bit.

I love square sausage, can't get it too often down here, though iceland do one sometimes....

Its the best sausage there is. I was introduced to it by a scottish mate who came down to see me some years ago, he picked a brick sized parcel of it from his local butcher in Dumfries.

Yummy...especially with some bacon and tattie scones.
