Yes Easter Bunny I have and my Mum is diabetic and she has made it and loves it, it is one of those cakes you can make and everyone will eat and not realise it is good for you. it is very moist and very moreish. |

Recipe for Apple Teabread - just a note for diabetics it still has carbs which turn into 'sugar' in the flour, sultanas and apples - so a normal slice still has to take the place of something else which you were going to eat - although released more slowly. Jx |

Thanks for the recipe.I have my 15 year old grandson coming to stay a week on thursday.He has been diabetic since he was 4 so i am going to make him some ready for his holiday with me. Annie |

Sounds like a nice recipe Cara. but like Janice says there's natural sugar in it but MUCH better than added sugar. If I try it I will use wholemeal flour (recommended for diabetics). I've a couple of recipes and will look them up and try to remember to put them here - Brack and also muffins. I'm Type 2 diabetic - diet and exercise so always interested in suitable 'cake' things.
