Me, too, Lulli.

I am Welsh, so might get shot for saying this, lol, but it would be nice to see a British team winning the World Cup. I do hope Jonny doesn't get injured though, as I think he is the glue that holds the team together.. even when he isn't playing at his best.

Hello Mick, I'm reliably informed by my Aussie *foster* son that it is a very tough game.

Are the players handsome and rugged, and do they look good in a scrummage? These are, of course, the most important factors!! ;0)))

oh yeah Daff - Rugby players tend to look like Neanderthals, but Aussie Rules players are usually tall and elegant - I think youse sheilas would go for them. Google "Äustralian Football League" some time. xx Mick

Lol Mick, I might just do that!! I normally switch off when he and hubby get together and start talking about these things..

I just quietly get on with wrapping myself around his gift of a posh hunky red!!

He introduced me to Aussie reds in 1994. I spent all that Christmas in an alcoholic haze!!

They will be surprised if I get knowledgeable about the Aussie Rules equiv of the offside rule, pmsl.

Oh, and Hubby is 6ft 2, tall and slim and quite elegant looking, not neanderthal at all. He played rugby for the Army. He's also played Aussie footie, and American. I must ask him which he preferred.!!

Hey Daff -I live next to an Aussie vineyard, so I get my reds wholesale! The different footy codes here is a regional thing - Rugby in NSW and Queensland - Aussie rules in Vic, SA , WA & Tassie. but lots of overlap these days.

My *fosterson* comes from Melbourne, but was in the Army for a while, and seconded over here.. which was how we met. He is the same age as my eldest, and he prefers hockey! lol.. it is my hubby that played all the sport, even though he was the *old man*!!.

I've just popped in for a quick look, but none of the videos will play, so I am gutted! All that lovely talent ;0)) eluding me!!

Oh well, I'll try again in a mo. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

If you live next to a vineyard.. I wouldn't shout too loudly or I might pop over for a visit and a slurp!!

Well, there you are then!!.. we're almost best buddies already!!

Did you ever get an exchange tour over here?

Hubby was all set for one to Australia a few years ago, then got sent off to play in Kuwait and Saudi instead, lol I was quite disappointed.. and that was before I found out about Aussie reds! lol I sometimes wonder if we'd ever have come back here. Hubby was a *sought after* trade, so a transfer to Aussie Army was discussed a few times.
