Where I live we have a comparatively large Muslim community; however, most of the shop-keepers who might appear to be Muslim are actually Hindus.

I don't actually know any Muslims who drink alchohol or eat pork.

Perhaps these people who object to selling these Items can "Explain" why it is that a Consortium from "Saudi Arabia" ( An Islamic Country ) wish to buy "Sainsburys"? it would be interesting for them to inform everybody. Other than that,If everyone who buys these Items "Boycots" the shops concerned and takes their Business Elsewhere,perhaps when there are no profits,they will realise that means no jobs. *M*.

I should have been clearer, I dont believe anyone should be a roll model for anyone if it is judged on skin colour ..... ie, Lewis Hamilton had dreams and he is trying to fulfill them.... that should be the roll to follow, sorry if I upset anyone didnt mean to....x :-)))

How many small stores are owned by Muslim's it must be none as all the ones i have been in sell alcohol .

Read in paper that some Muslim doctors will refuse to treat anyone with sexual or alcohol related illnesses but again no idea just how true that is!!!!

Muslims are not allowed to drink "Alcahol" ( Watch what happens when they get on a Plane and are out of Islamic Airspace ) Also,they are not allowed to refuse a drink ( If Offered ) as it is an insult to their Host. The were most "Miffed" when I used to offer them "Orange Juice" When they upset me. **M**.

My OH isn't allowed to eat or touch Pork so he doesn't, so will have to agree with everything Roxanne said.

I'm just going by the bits I heard on Breakfast this morning. They had a guy on from some Muslim group who agreed that that is what should be done in shops over here.
