Yep-I had a pen friend ,forced onto me by my mum (God bless her) . I had to write to my first cousin Verna who was born as soon as mums brother and family landed in Canada--so obviously we'd never met,I was forced to write to her from the age of about 7! |

Yes I had two. One was Barbara Berger and she lived in Baltimore, Maryland and the other was Heidi Happe and she lived in Germany. Unfortunately as we grew older we corresponded less and less and eventually not at all. |

Yes, I did - a Swedish girl called Lotta. We wrote from the age of about 12 until our early twenties - even went on holiday together in Cyprus one year (first time we'd met up). It was a bit embarrassing when I introduced her to my Greek rellies, though. Every time I said her name there were funny looks and smiles. Dad later told me that the word "Lotta" in Greek meant the equivalent to a fat pig! |
