Hi, Thanks to you all for your advice and suggestions.
i had the baby eventually, on the 5th October, it was a little girl weighing a surprisingly smaller 8lb 9oz than the 10lb odd that all the doctors thought she would be!!

Thanks again

4 weeks overdue is a bit much, I live in Australia & the doctors don't let you go over 2 weeks overdue. Anyway to get the baby going if you haven't already tried it
1. Sex
2. Lots of walking
3. Lots of ice water
or as a last resort a spoonful of Castor oil, guaranteed to work although it tastes terrible.
Good luck, my daughter was 2 weeks late & had to be induced but all my boys were early, the eldest & the twins were 37weeks & the youngest 34weeks.

A good dose of cod liver oil should do the trick!
I'm not kidding ;)

oh poor you she will come when shes ready. i was induced with all 4 of mine not because i was late they were all 2 weeks early i couldnt carry them for longer due to med probs.
they also said my last daughter was bigger than average all the way through but when she was born although 2 weeks early, she was only 6 pound 6oz.
Good luck hope all goes well for you.

i agree the docs aren't always right they told me my eldest wasn't growing properly and would be less than 5lb but as i said he was 9lb i went through 20hrs labour and 2 hrs pushing before they relised he was stuck and i had a c-sec. they also told me my daughter would be about 10lbs but she was tiny at only 6lb 5 1/2oz. they were right with my youngesth though.

i decorated my kitchen by myself in 1 night a few days later i went into labour he was 3 weeks early and weighed 7lb 2 1/2oz if he had of stayed in there until he was due he probably would have been about 9lb the same as my eldest was
