Just a thought, have the police checked out all the people who rented that car around the time the little girl went missing.

Could be that the rental car agency were not not so thorough in cleaning the car and the dna or whatever evidence they found could have been left by a prior renter

Bit of a long shot !

Why?
Seems to me it's a bit of a long shot to have the parents rent a car WEEKS after the child was missing and leave dna

I very much doubt they have missed something that would be so obvious in their investigations.

Thing is, nobody knows how they have investigated this, how many possible avenues they have explored, all we know is what has been fed to the press, and it is all unconfirmed.

I agree,

This whole scenario is full of long shots.

And not a single one of them holds any substance.

But who is to blame ?

Kris

Kris Report 15 Sep 2007 20:56

The other person authorised to drive the car on the hire agreement was Michael Wright - cousin of Kate McCann

Reports are that there have been about 250 Brit police helping with the case.

Even taking into consideration the popular mistrust of the Portugese in this country (one I do not share) I'm sure the British police would've checked it out.If not the Portugese.

The costs of forensics must be astronomical.

I REALLY feel that this would've been checked out before such funds were apportioned xx

The car covered 2750km in one month when the McCanns were being ferried around by private taxis and planes

What keeps ringing in my head, are the words that Kate McCann said when the child was found to be missing.

"They have taken her"

This keeps coming back to haunt me time and time again. It is almost she was confirming something she knew was going to happen.

Surely these are not the words of a mother who has just discovered her daughter has gone missing?. You would have expected something like Maddie's not in bed, or Maddie's gone missing?

Again that could have been a confused account of the words at the time. Nobody would really be thinking about who said what...and again it still hasn't been confirmed bypolice that is what was said.

I do agree, that if that is what she said, its a very strange thing to thing of before, 'where is she' or Maddies gone' or 'she's not there'

On Monday at 8pm there is a programme on ITV looking at the "evidence" . How objective this will be I am unsure but I thought that people might be interested.

How can we comprehend the thoughts of a mother discovering that her precious daughter has gone......my brain would be numb.......how many people on hearing bad news start to laugh.....

The 'press' seem to be picking these people to death....how many remember the case in Australia.....a mother was imprisoned for life after her daughter disappeared and no-one believed her story that she had been taken by dingoes.

The case against them is all speculation.....so called 'leaked' reports....

Not mentioning any names but recently we have remembered a person who was thought to have been hounded to death by the press
