General Chat

Maybe i,m missing something here but surely, if we want to keep the Chat board the way it used to be, there shouldn,t be any need for all these different threads. Just use 1 thread and stick with it. Ignore the others and it will continue on like the old chat board used to be.
Mind you, I suspect that GR just want to seperate all the "naughty" peeps but by doing that, they are seperating everyone into little cliques.

It was a lot easier before we didn't have to keep chasing round the boards and getting confused

I can remember last year there was some adverse feedback to GR about the Chat Board as many people didn't like it not having threads, and therfore avoided it.

As far as the other boards are concerned, they were always there, it's just that they were not as obvious.

looking at it another way - you have more room than you had before?

We did try the Daily Chat Room - which worked really well - but that turned sour after accusations.
Odd that there's not been a replacement tho?

Which could be the main chat thread for any member to pop in for a chat, rather than to chat about a certain subject ?

as I have said before the chat board is now general board mark 2. same people talking on the threads on both boards, similar threads on both boards. it has really spoiled the atmosphere of both boards.

But other people must like it or they would stay on the general board as before.

After reading some of the posts, I must say, it was lovely to see some familiar names. I didn,t come on chat too often but it was nice to read the banter and then "barge" into the room and join in. Now I feel like I,m in a hotel and all the "rooms" have a sign on the door that says Private Party. Does anyone else feel the same way?
