........ BP test and blood tests for Hypertension *rolls eyes & tuts* a wreck at 44 LOL - just wondered what they do for the ECG - will it hurt???

No Ann it doesn't hurt,they stick little pads on your chest,you have to lie still and thats it.Ive had loads of 'em cause I had a heart attack Maddy

No, don't worry, they stick censor things on your chest and that gives a print out of your heart rythm. Routine in this area for anyone with high blood pressure xx

Nah its nothing McAnne i had one before my op, they stick pads on you, you just lay there it only takes 30 seconds if that! You'll be fine hun, good luck Susie x

Don't worry think of it more as a ten minute lay down with no-one bothering you! Lol! If you use body lotion don't put any on your 'top half' that dat 'cos the little pads won't stick properly and you'll get a funny reading! Best wishes Helen.

Thanks everyone :O)) Got a 30 min appointment cos GP wants BP taken again (ie not at the end of the working day having driven home lol) ...... and also have a fasting blood test - looks like they will be taking about 6 different tests. Caz - good luck today - not sure what you wanting to know, but basically am just border line on acceptable BP, it's been creeping up slowly over 2 years. Plus I have other symptoms like not sleeping well - chronic tinnitus ........

good luck with all your tests today, hope they all come out fine for you. Don't worry to much, it will raise your blood pressure, try to keep calm. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you, Joy

Good Luck Anne :):) Hope all goes well with the results. Try not to worry too much about having the E.C.G I have had a couple and they never hurt at all. That is all accept one time when I had this tugging near to my arm pit, it was the stangest of feelings it only hurt a little when I moved. I must admit I panicked a little but closer examination revealed a pad that was left there and was tugging at the hairs lol Colin :):)
