I couldnt sleep cos of Nath grinding his teeth, so came back downstairs to see if anyone was about on here. Around 2 ish I heard some blokes outside talking, so did a spot of curtain twitching. There was 2 blokes in our car so i went out in me dressing gown and they scarpered, didnt get a good look at them but i they were in their early 20's, but the car is in a bit of a mess from where they broke in, they had used something to break the lock so the its all dented and scratched. Called the police they are coming round later to get a statement but dont seem hopeful in catching them. Jax xx

if this was a TV police drama, they'd find their finger prints and have them on record and catch them. As it is real life I will be very surprised if they even manage to get round to see you. Sorry to hear about it but lucky you were up. however, thank goodness they just ran and didn't attack you. Would you recognise them again? Ann Glos

Yeh im ok ta Nath had a go at me for going outside and said i should of woke him. Yeh right like i hadnt been trying that for hours to get him to shut up lol I called the police straight away but they didnt seem that interested but at least it is reported for the insurance. They were both in their early 20's but i dont think i would recogniase them again as it was so dark. But I think they were polish they had a similar sort of accent to a man who lives accorss the road..

sorry to hear that you'll have to replace the locks,Jax, and it wont be cheap either!and as for the police....well, when and if they eventually turn up, they will be as much use as a chocalate fire guard!Hate to say it but you would have been better off leaving the scumbags take the car and then claiming off the insurance!!

Taff the door is all dented in and scratched like mad and the seals around the window ripped. Spoken to the insurance and it will still be covered and luckily we have our 5 years no claims protected so they will pay for it to be fixed. I know I shouldnt of gone out everyone but thats me im afraid. Im not the type to stand by and watch some scumbag get on with things, they are just lucky lukes baseball bat wasnt to hand

Oh my God, that must have been a shock for you Jaz. Hopefully the police will get fingerprints. Make sure they do come out, some police forces aren't what they could be. God bless x

I keep a can of lighter petrol by my bed.and any messing my excuse is: well I was just filling my lighter, heard a noise, ran outside, tripped over, and heyho my lighter worked!! not my fault they were in the wrong place at the right time!!! that works great on burglars aswell!

To be honest Romany we have one of those police forces that are useless. I think they will take a statement if i nag them and that will be it but I need a crime reference number for the insurance so will keep onto them. Taff OMG ya worse than me lol
