My son is off to Newquay about now, his mate is driving them all down there for a week's camping at Smuggler's Haven site, 18-30 apparently, bet they will have fun! Hope his mate slept before driving tho! Spoke to Jan from Jarrow this afternoon while I was sunbathing in the garden, she said Watergate Beach was gorgeous, lovely big waves, then suddenly all changed, bigger waves with riptide etc and lifeguards got everyone out of the water fast. Grey misty drizzle followed so she called me to warn my lad to take all kinds of gear for every kind of weather lol Been ok here in Norwich today but tomorrow cooler apparently. Liz

Oh, dear Cornish Piskie, We have had two glorious days here in Southampton. BUT - both my barometers are 'falling' - and they never lie. Yesterday, just because I was about to put my really big laundry out to dry, my 'whirly' outside clothes drier broke. And my two 'glasses' are still going down. I would put money on tomorrow - and the day after - being wet here. Good job we grow up to be adaptable in this country! Joanna

Jan, saw a picture in the paper last week of a woman who baked a pasty shaped like this shark thats proweling around Devon and cornwall. you would need lots of brown sause for that lol
