I also like true-life stories, like many others here, people fascinate me and how they lived. I also like fun, light humoured threads, Joyous Joys quiz threads are great fun and educating I too think a general joke thread would be good and also maybe a funny rhyme thread would be good. I also enjoy some of the chill out and party type threads, good funny light hearted chat Ann xxx

More of - the threads that Ann in Glos is posting now. I find people fascinating - where they come from, their experiences, their families. And people's 'finds', and the posts in my 'treading in their footsteps' thread. Also, factual information - about people in the public eye, ie Harry Patch, Henry Allingham and Bill Stone.

I agree with Hayley more life intresting threads, esp true life stories- there must be loads of people on here that could write an autobiography. Don't have to be personal with names and stuff I esp like hearing stuff from the war years. catherine xx

I do think it is a good idea to collect all the jokes onto one or two threads. Maybe with the title 'general joke thread'. I enjoy the hobbies type threads like the card making thread and Greaders. maybe there are other hobbyists who could start threads. I like Hayleys idea too. Nostalgia threads always go down well, and linking that to how we used to live/do things is interesting. Debates are good if we can keep them non aggressive and non personal. I do like a good mix of subjects so the word games and quizzes are great. I think there is a slump at the moment, not only because of people staying away but because it is the summer holidays, children are home using PCs, parents are entertaining children and people are on holiday. It usually happens in the summer. Ann Glos

I like the joke threads and light hearted fun threads too. Ellen if you're ever stuck on crossword clues just stick a thread up asking for help, someone will know the answer.

I like reading jokes too, but if there are too many on the board at the one time I get fed up, or lot's of post's about the same thing or lot's by the same people, too fussy I am lol. The other night there were lots of them (jokes)I think everyone was trying to cheer the boards up :)) Marion

That's right Julie :-) Thanks for that. Some people post some very good threads and very good jokes that are never seen again once they go off the bottom of page 15. Seems such a waste.

Good point Julie Cat, sometimes I find that I'm debating something on a debate thread but find myself in a full scale argument because there is a difference in opinion. I thought that was what a debate was all about. However, I don't like it when things get personal.
