I don't have any fridge magnets on my new fridge, I can't bend down the way I used to! BUT when I had a fridge/freezer we had erotic poetry especially for fridges. (There are other sets available like Shakespeare). It's a good job we were all adults in the house, although there are no anglo-saxon words there are some pretty suggestive ones! You can tell a lot about people by the way they express themselves in poetry but the erotic kind is even more revealing. Plus we were never short of friends offering to make the tea! I favoured the short funny ditties, while my daughter went in for the more flouncy/wordy odes, my husband just used to change other peoples efforts. It certainly kept us amused for quite a while. My daughter has one which reads 'There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with chocolate.' While they were away at a family camp, a couple of years ago, her young son came back with his face covered in chocolate (and most of the rest of him) and said: 'Mummy, the fridge magnet was right.' Great thread, never had any till a few months ago, but our American neighbour has loads. Everyone buys him a magnet from their travels. Apart from my N.U.F.C one the others read Friends are the family you choose for yourself If you're only happy when the sun shines, then you've never danced in the rain. Magi

I have, I started out with nothing & still have most of it. To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with. I also have a koala & a kangaroo, presents from Australian friends & a set of wombles from the first time around as well as various bits of fruit. I will be looking out for the family tree one,so apt for me. Vivienne

I love my fridge magnets, have a few already mentioned and two of my favourites are Chocolate, coffee and men- so much better when they're rich. Housework is something you do that no one else notices unless you don't do it:-) Tricia

Hi Lorr, enjoyed reading about magnets, mine are-If we can put a man on the moon, wht cant we put them all there? Avenge yourself, live long enough to be a problem to your kids. Im not an O.A.P.Im a recycled teenager. I would like to use one of my life lines. Dull women have immaculate houses. If life is a garden, friends are the flowers. Be nice to your kids----they will choose your nursing home. If you have not guessed by now I am old in years but young at heart.

I almost forgot - I also have a poster on the tucked in side of my fridge. It's a dog with all those chins (sorry can't think of the name) with one chubby paw stretched upwards on a step. It says "without stress my life would be empty" x

My fridge is covered in magnets! I too have: God couldn't be everywhere so He made Grandmas & Cleanliness is next to Godliness, Tidyness etc.................... On a similar theme : My other house is cleaner! & You can touch the dust but please don't write in it! Mothering is a necessity, Grandmothering is a luxury! A woman has to believe in something..........I believe in eating chocolate! I have 'Grandma's Kitchen' which was my Mum's (a family heirloom LOL) My uncle in Canada made some from wood (ducks, teddy and dog) and sent them to me and my husband made a Danger Mouse(his favourite cartoon) and a Care Bear out of a magnetic sheet of metal which he then etched the features on. Also years ago my kids gave me 'Recycled Teenager'. My grandson gave me LaaLaa (Tellytubby) saying 'I need a big hug' when he was about two. These are all very precious. I also have photos of my grandchildren in magnetic frames. My fridge is quite large!!!!! All my magnets bring me happy memories, and, although I curse when they get knocked off the fridge and the cats chase them around the floor, I wouldn't be without any of them :o)) Sue
