Each week we see people withdrawing from the board for what I would consider to be reasons which have not been thought. through.(I have been insulted; my thread has been withdrawn; etc). There are people on this site with problems and don,t need to be knocked even further down. Some will delight in dragging others down to their level. Some people like to go mountaineering over mole-hills. This seems to me to be a fact. Why rise to the bait. 'It takes a smart person to be silent at the right time.' The management have a difficult line to tread. If someone complains they are bound to do something. I thought there was a little too much smut on the channel, but it doesn,t bother me. It will bother a minority. We live in a world of litigation. there are laws regarding slander and libel. They have to consider that, as well as good taste. I,m sure they don,t pull the plug on anyone without good reason, in their opinion. It,s their channel - they have to be the arbiters of what is acceptable. This may upset some people - I don,t mean to be offensive to anyone. It,s a great little medium. Let,s just enjoy it. Happy days.

Linda, Don,t know the one you mention, so plainly not that one. It should still be current. You had to take a members nom de plume and suggest an appropriate title to go with it. None of you girls suggested 'I,m just wild about Harry' for me. Damn . Just on re-reading your message, it might be me confusing things. if you mean the one on borderline personality order, that one is still current on about Page 3 Happy days.

Buttercup fields, That,s fine, but you mentioned dyed red hair yesterday I think, so we,ll just have to call the whole thing off . Many thanks for the thought, though. Happy days

The other thing I would say is, if you feel strongly enough about it and realise that it is only yourself who will suffer. Please just go quietly and don't make an issue of it. Chances are you will change your mind and it will be easier to drift back in if you haven't made a fuss about leaving. Ann Glos

You are so right Harry. A time to reap, a time to sow. A time to speak up, A time to be silent. It seems as though some people delight in winding others up which is a shame as we are not all hard enough to take it. GR have a duty of care here and really have no option than to delete Threads which may give offence, even though the Thread itself is not guilty of it, but others ( who should know better) add comments which they shouldn't.

I cannot remember what I did without this board Harry. Its easy to just ignore what you dont like, its not as if we were having a face to face row is it? Deanna

Deanna, I am sure it is only a small minority of troublemakers who cause the friction. The rest of us just want to enjoy the social interaction here while researching our Families' Histories.
