Had a shock this morning, got up and found that the dogs had got my georgie's budgie Sherbot, she is devastated. They obviously jumped up at the cage and the door opened, bless her. She wasn't harmed in any way, they had put her in their bed. Georgie has still gone to school today but is very tearful as are the rest of us. She wants to give sherbot a funeral when she gets home from school, job for her dad I think lol Hope you don't mind me putting this on the threads, just feeling a bit upset at the moment Luv Jo xxx

Ahhhhhhh bless her, its hard for children when they lose a pet, im sure once over the shock she will be asking you for another one lol big hugs for georgie kimx

Sorry to hear this also. We had to have a Pet Funeral last week. Our only remaining Gerbil died, presumably from old age, it was nearly four years old. 15yrs old demanded a proper burial. Last one got put in the Dust Bin. She was so annoyed. Jenny.x

Poor budgie - what a shame. Probably died of fright. It's a big thing for a kid when a pet dies, and I can understand Georgie being so upset. I was when each of our budgies died when I was little. They're such lovable little creatures. Perhaps you can get her another one soon? CB >|< X

oh Maureen thats terrible, well all I can say is I think they must have wanted to play with it, cos they never harmed it phyically thank god. I reckon your right bec it died of fright, just put it in their bed. They were always fascinated with it, sat there looking and jumping up at it all the time lol bloody dogs lol Luv Jo xx

thanks everyone, she is a lot better tonight, but keeps going on about she never looked after him properly lol and that he didnt like her cos when she put her finger in the cage he would bite it lol I said georgie he use to bite everyones bloody finger lol Bless her she'll be fine thanks for your support and I will pass on all the hugs and kisses Thanks again Jo xxx

tell georgie that was budgies way of kissing her, pecking her finger, at that age she may believe you, has she asked for another pet yet are the dogs looking ashamed of themselves? hope georgie recovers soon from the shock of this, im sure she will if not already
