I posted a thread yesterday about a 6 year old child being hit by a car and killed at the school....we have found out it was a friend of my children and i sort of know the parents...infact they were stood near me yesturday just before it happend. The kids are so upset, i couldnt stop the tears when i saw the flowers outside the school....his poor poor parents are devastated as you can imagine. Please can you pray for his family. Thanks.

Will certainly say a prayer for this family, Emma, give them a condolance card and if you see them, say a few words, so many people avoid others who have just suffered a loss, yet just by acknowledging their grief, you are helping them.

Of course Emma and shall be thinking of your children too. Daisy

Thankyou... i have a card for his family but i am lost for words to write..what can you say? The children are laying flowers at 3pm.

Emma, i think just a few meaningful words is all that is necessary, how about something like ' So very saddened to hear of the tragic loss of your precious son/child ' Then Emma depending on if the family are at all in any way religious you could say that you will keep them in your prayers etc. lol Trish.

It's made me go all goosebumps reading this. We just don't know when we send them off in the morning do we. Sending all my love and hugs for this poor family, what a terrible tragedy. Dianex

Emma, was the boy a pupil at the school ? if so, then i am sure the family will recieve a lot of love and support from the school community, and maybe after this initial shock to you all, you all can arrange for a memorial to him maybe a bench or garden area.

They have just shown the school with all the flowers on Meridian News.

Its just been on my regional news here in Dorset, its very sad and my heart goes out to his family and friends. As for writing in a card you could put exactly how you feel, 'words can t express the sadness I feel with the loss of your child,you,your family and friends are in my thoughts at this very sad time'. Oh Emma. I will be thinking of them... my daughters best friend died when he was six, and today he would be 21. so I'll be thinking of both sets of parents.... Pat
