where are the new names listed on name summary now?, it says how many of a certain name I have in my tree and how many on site but I cant see the newly added names. jenny

not here yet either but give it time they have a lot of members and may have to update bit by bit Paul

Hi Jenny , you can link to name summary from either name summary on the left or search at the top. At the top of the name summary page it says Tip: Refine your search to new matches within the drop-down.. You can change the number of days you want your new names added , shown from there. christine

Only thing is you seem to have to set the days every time you go into it, put it to one day, go to another board, when you go back you have to click on one day again! Do like the way your names and name summary is on one page. It's better laid out and not so confusing for newbies who often thought new messages beside their names were personal messages for them. Now shows clearly that it's new postings on each board! Christine

only pooped over to fr for 10 minutes and when I got back everything had changed. Thought I'd lost the plot for a mo!! Glad to see I'm not totally crazy!!

you have a scroll bar accross the bottom of screen as well as the side check the bar at bottom to see if you can scroll to the right if it will scroll over then u prob are upgraded ok Paul

Or t least it will be linked to ancestry once they've got the link sorted out!

They are no great help. I have tried to use them before,and I tried when I saw them on the site this morning. If you dont know all about your ancestor, then they cant find him/her. I have put in information on known members of my family, but I was not able to give exact place names and birth dates so, they came up .....no results. Perhaps I am daft, and I wont argue about it, but has anyone else found anything on ancestry? Deanna

Hi Paul, everything seems to be upgraded on mine ok but definitely don't have a scroll bar for going left to right' just the usual up and down one! No Jenny been looking around the site and I can't find anywhere it says how many are in your tree either! Christine

it will also be dependant on the size of your monitor screen too this I'm using now is only small on laptop and needs to be scrolled but if you have a reasonable sized monitor you probably wont need to scroll accross. main pc here ok without scrolling 17' monitor on that Paul

I preferred the old layout, it made more sense, this layout is too confusing. Plus you have to scroll down to get to see the message a lot more because of the big white block at the top of the page. The advertising is too in your face.

I've found where it says how many names in your tree now, its on your homepage underneath where it says build your tree. the only downside to the improvements is that I cant access genes on my tv internet any more all evening, only on my sons computer in the mornings while he is working so I get up at 6am when he leaves to make the most of it lol. jenny x

I tried out the search on ancestry, using known ancestors births etc.. but it came up with no results... so wont be bothering with that again. the free site 'familysearch' is much better!! :)))
