I got bath smellies from younger son, a little man made from terracotta flowerpots from younger daughter and grandson, some embossing powders and a picture frame from elder son and grandaughters and a pretty watering can with lily of the valley bulbs in it and a gift voucher to buy more craft stuff from elder daughter and grandaughter. Went to Worthing this afternoon to see mother-in-law and took her a miniature rose bush and cards. Grandson (6) was staying with us for weekend so he came too and we stopped at the restaurant with the golden arches for late lunch! Grandson's favourite place - I thought it was Mothers Day not Grandsons Day! LOL Still I'm quite partial to the occasional Big Mac! Sue xx |

I got two cards from my sons when they bothered to get up that their step dad bought on their behalf because he thought they would forget (they are 15 and 16). They got the Cold Shoulder! I told my husband he shouldn't have bothered. I won't tell you what I said to them! |

I got a homemade card and a box of Thornton's truffle chocs (including alcoholic ones) from my boys. They had said they would help with the washing today - rather an accumulation as I was at Kew yesterday. So after I had my card & chocs, older son went to play rugby, returned to dump dirty kit on the floor and he and younger son went out. Husband returned from propping up the bar at the rugby club and went to sleep. I tried to ring my mum all day, but she had inadvertently left the phone off the hook. Finally got through in the evening. nell |
