It is a doddle compared to 50/60 years ago. Donkey stones; mangles, dolly blues; dolly tubs.; coal fires; the list is endless. (un)happy days.

Peter Report 8 Mar 2005 22:19

Funnilly enough i have always been able to repair washing machines/irons/cookers etc just not been able to work them. Also when going through supermarket checkout the lady on the till just chatted to other women but when it came to my turn she looked at me with pity and said patronisingly 'Do you need a hand with your packing?' Well its not rocket science is it lads?

It may not be rocket science Peter but I know someone very close to me who some years ago accompanied me and assisted with the grocery shopping. When I got home it was to discover that he had packed a bag of potatoes ON top of two loaves. Ann
