Believe me I have alot better things to do than follow you around, I replied to a thread, a thread that yet again you seem to try and take over and make enemies with people. You have one serious chip on your shoulder. What is your problem. You are a bad example of Irish People. |

Hi Deanna, My hubby is Irish and the kids are, I wouldn't have known what all that mean't myself except Slán (goodbye). Yeah I have a laugh at the accent sometimes, but people laugh at my accent too!!! My son laughed at what Daniel wrote he didn't find it offensive at all, but he didn't care much for that comment. If you and hubby celebrate St. Patrick's Day have a good one :-))) Pat x |

My husband is Irish and says, your son is right in his translation. If you heard my husbands accent after over 50 years away from home!!!! I love it. AND, I dont think Daniel was insulting anyone, it was funny. I'm always saying to my hubby things like, 'what do you TINK?' If it doesnt bother him???? Fun is fun................insults are a different ANIMAL all thogether Deanna |

Last year, my son's workmates bought him a Guinness T-shirt and one of those huge, green leprechaun hats with a big shiny shamrock on the front, and they said he had to wear them all the way home on the tube train from London. They must have plied him with plenty of drink at lunchtime because he actually DID sit on the train in the rush hour, wearing the hat, and only took it off to get into the car at the station, to drive home! Takes after his Mum, you see. LMHO CB >|< (Who has also done some daft things in her time ;>) ) |

Kevin, I know what you mean things like that bug me too, but Daniel didn't mean any offence you can see that, I thought it was very funny myself trying to write in an Irish accent, it's more than Manning could do LOL. Funny so many English people use Jamaican words all the time these days and don't even realise they are doing it, it has become part of everyday speech. The goodness gracious team named the show as a homage to Peter Sellars, so there's no offence taken there hey? there is room for a bit of fun in accents, and the Irish are good at laughing at themselves. Just thought writing that in Irish was unfair to Daniel as he may have thought it was a nice remark instead of what it was. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too, glad you came back and wished Daniel the same. Pat x |

Happy Paddy's Day to all the Irish among you! I'm doing something very special. I'm having a coffee morning to raise money for Pink's Fund. I'm having a raffle and going to sell cakes, now all I have to do is learn how to make a decent cup of coffee! If anyone lives in or near Cambridge and wants to come, let me know! Daisy |
